VERBUND does business in 12 countries, and in 2015 attained an annual turnover of 3 billion Euros, with around 3,000 employees. With its subsidiary companies and partners, VERBUND is actively involved from the generation of energy to its transport all the way to international trade and distribution. Via the grid subsidiary Austrian Power Grid, VERBUND operates the Austrian extra-high voltage grid with power lines totalling around 3,500 km in length.
We are continually expanding our range of energy-related services for the energy future: We offer private customers electricity from 100% hydropower, heating gas, and a range of innovative products for energy-intelligent households. For industrial and commercial customers, we develop individual solutions for energy efficiency and for managing flexible usage and production. In Austria, VERBUND has a market share of 7% among small customers and about 20% in the large client segment. In Germany VERBUND is the leading green power supplier for resellers and corporate clients.
