New apprentices keep VERBUND going
05.09.2022Ybbs, Persenbeug-Gottsdorf
A total of 22 apprentices, including 4 women, are starting their dual professional training at VERBUND's Ybbs-Persenbeug training site today.
VERBUND traditionally marks the first day of training with the festive presentation of the apprenticeship contracts. Michael Amerer, managing director of VERBUND Hydro Power GmbH and president of the Lower Austrian Landtag, Karl Moser, welcomed the 22 new apprentices together with the head of the apprentice workshop, Robert Nußbaummüller. Over four years of training, they will complete apprenticeships in electrical engineering and metals technology in Ybbs.
“We place great importance on the practical aspects: our apprentices learn from their colleagues on site in the power plant from the 2nd year of training. The excellent pass rate and the wealth of awards for our graduates proves the quality of the apprenticeship,” says Michael Amerer, managing director of VERBUND Hydro Power GmbH, at the festive presentation of the apprenticeship contracts.
President of the LA Landtag, Karl Moser, standing in for Provincial Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner:
“We are delighted about the training opportunities for our young people at VERBUND. The entire region benefits from high-quality training sites and workplaces. What particularly inspires us is investments in sustainable electricity generation because this is the key to the future.”
A total of 48 apprentices, including 7 woman, are starting their training at the VERBUND locations of Ybbs-Persenbeug (LA), Kaprun (Salzburg) and Töging am Inn (Bavaria) this year.
