Project manager Dominik Mayr presented the project and the current planning status by means of models in Jochenstein Danube power plant. He pointed out that, apart from the necessary upper reservoir and the power station, the power plant complex will be constructed entirely below ground. In this way, the sensitive and protected "Donauleiten" nature conservation area remains untouched and able to retain its present form.
Johann Strobel, commercial director of Donaukraftwerk Jochenstein AG, stressed the essential contribution to the development of the renewable energies that the project will make in Germany.
