Verbund and RAG Sign Gas Storage Contract

On 14 December 2009, Verbund concluded a long-term storage contract with crude oil production company RAG (Rohöl Aufsuchungs Aktiengesellschaft).
In order to optimize the operation of its thermal power plants in Austria, Verbund has booked capacities of altogether 60 million m3 in a subterranean natural gas storage facility of RAG in Upper Austria/Salzburg.
By undertaking this joint venture, Verbund and RAG are making an important contribution to the security of supply in Austria.
