19.05.2011Wien
The submission documents regarding the environmental impact assessment have been presented to the abutting municipalities.
The approval procedure for the renaturation of the lower reaches of the Traisen river near the Danube is now entering its decisive phase. Over the past days, VERBUND has been submitting the documentation for Austria's largest restoration project in the adjoining municipalities of Traismauer, Zwentendorf and Altenwörth.
In the following, the documents, inspected by the authorities for completeness, will be made accessible to the public. In autumn, verbal EIA negotiations are scheduled to take place; should the results be positive, construction could commence in spring 2012.
