Bavaria’s energy minister Aiwanger learns about modern pumped storage technology in Kaprun

Minister of state Aiwanger visited Austria’s largest power plant construction site – Limberg 3 in Kaprun – on Monday, 9 September, to learn about modern pumped storage technologies from VERBUND. Pumped storage power plants are considered green batteries – they relieve the burden on the electricity grids and are therefore essential for the success of the energy transition. VERBUND CEO Michael Strugl took the opportunity to personally show the guest from Bavaria around the construction site.
