VERBUND Hydro Power produces green energy from pumped storage power plants, storage power plants and run-of-river power plants and covers 40 % of the electricity requirements in Austria. In Bavaria, we supply over 2 million private households and businesses with energy.
Strengthen our team in the department Renewable Energies. Construction. In the dams and high-pressure-plants department, we deal with the monitoring, construction and maintenance of dams and the project planning, construction and project management of high-pressure hydropower plants. The department thus ensures the legally compliant development of projects and is responsible for their quality assurance.
This can only be done with you:
- You will support the team and will be responsible (in the medium term) for the following tasks:
- dam monitoring and safety evaluation of fill dams
- interpretation of measurement data and preparation of safety reports
- supervision and design of fill dam
- numerical analyses of fill dams
- You will coordinate and (technically) check the guideline, tender and detail design documents for fill dams (rehabilitation and new construction projects) and coordinate these documents with the authority's experts
- You accompany and check the execution works of dam construction
- In the medium term, you will take on deputy responsibility for dam safety
- You will work partly in high mountains as well as in the underground (tunnels and caverns)
What you bring to the table:
- Master's degree in civil engineering
- Several years of relevant professional experience (favorably 5 years in the field of design and execution of fill dams)
- Sophisticated knowledge in the field of geotechnical engineering (fill dams)
- Experience in the construction of fill dams
- Sophisticated knowledge in numerical analyses of fill dams
- No problem with working in high and steep areas
- Willingness to travel around Austria and driving license B
- Very good english skills, german skills beneficial
